Mr Babak Daneshmand qualified as MD more than 25 years ago. He wrote his thesis on plastic surgery and completed a research project which was published by one of the best universities in Iran. He worked for more than 4 years in the field of plastic surgery. He then completed his training in surgery as a general and became a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He further completed his training in the field of Emergency Medicine and became a fellow of RCEM.
He is working as a consultant in Emergency medicine since 2010. He also works as a dermatological surgeon since 2015 on a regular basis and joining the multi-disciplinary meeting in their dermatology department.
He continued developing his surgical practice in the field of hair transplant (particularly FUE) and have the pleasure to work with our great team at LHCSC.
He has a special interest in teaching and training. This is a long list but to mention a few: Examiner for RCEM Membership and fellowship exam. Instructor in all life support courses (ATLS, ALS, EPALS). Course director for ATLS and ALS. He is an Educational and Clinical Supervisor for Junior doctors in his NHS practice.
He is also interested in sports medicine and working as a registered doctor with BHA to cover horse racing.
He has different leadership roles in his department at NHS which is beyond the scope of this short biography.
